About the Event

Due to popular demand — we're back!

Our first Ask an Expert session on 5th August sparked overwhelming interest. While we managed to answer many of your questions, time simply ran out before we could respond to them all. We don’t like leaving questions unanswered — so, thanks once again to the kind collaboration of Dyslexia Tanzania, we’re returning with a special follow-up session!

Join us for another live, unscripted Zoom event designed especially for Tanzania. Just like last time, you’ll have the chance to ask your own questions directly to our panel of expert Davis Facilitators — including Tanzania’s own Rahma Amer Mbarak, and European Davis expert Cathie Geraci.

Just like last time, we welcome questions on a wide range of topics, including:

  • Dyslexia

  • Dyspraxia

  • Dyscalculia

  • ADHD

  • Autism

    ...in both children and adults.

Who Should Attend:

  • Parents seeking help for their children

  • Teachers looking for better support strategies

  • Tutors and SEN professionals

  • Neurodivergent adults exploring solutions for themselves.

This session is interactive: you can ask your questions live, on camera or microphone. All questions are welcome!

Please note: For privacy reasons, this event will not be recorded. Live attendance is required.

This event is co-hosted by Caudence Ayoti, founder of Dyslexia Tanzania.

Meet the Panelists

Rahma Amer Mbarak

Rahma is the first licensed Davis Facilitator in Tanzania. A former schoolteacher with over six years of classroom experience, she was inspired to train in the Davis methods after reading The Gift of Dyslexia by Ronald D. Davis. Rahma offers Davis programmes in both English and Swahili, and has translated The Gift of Dyslexia into Swahili. She is passionate about helping Tanzanian children unlock their natural gifts.

Cathie Geraci

Cathie believes there is no limit to how an individual can develop and learn. She holds degrees from Indiana University in Economics and Speech Communication. She worked as an upper level retail executive in the United States prior to moving to Italy in 1994. Her journey with learning difficulties began in 2001 when her son would stop speaking and close himself off in his world. She discovered the Davis Method 15 years ago when she was searching for help with his dyslexia, maths difficulties, ADHD and autism. The results were so spectacular that she immediately began to train as a Davis Facilitator. Now, for over 15 years, she has worked not only as a Davis Dyslexia Facilitator and a Davis Autism Approach Facilitator/Coach, but also as a Davis Autism Supervisor to trainees and a Davis Workshop Presenter.
